I heard that Shropshire (a NT from the Falcons) squats 900
My mother talked to his uncle or something like that, but I think that's pretty over exaggerated. I'm still debating weither it's true or not.
Keep in mind, Ronnie Coleman only did 800 twice.

haha. thats less than Jay cutler did in the combine. Cutler did 25 reps at 225 and he's much smaller and a QB

No actually. A bodybuilder would worry about he lifts. If you want to get bigger, you have to get stronger.
There are no big, muscular guys who do not lift big, muscular weights. (pun intended)

go find out how many bodybuilders have maxed out their bench, squat and deads, then get back to me
also if you think you get bigger by being stronger why are their 180lbers pulling more than any bodybuilder?

College Players are good too
Mike Viti, The Fullback from Army benched 400lbs when he was 16, he is an NFL prospect but will be in the army and i hope we are not in the same unit as I would not want to be seen working my weights (puny compared to his bench now)

Because they don't eat as much as a bodybuilder.
Look at it from more of an individual basis. If I increase my bench by 100lb and eat in excess, my chest, triceps, and delts will have gotten bigger. On the other hand, if I decided to dick around with the pec deck for a year, bever increaing, my gains would be minimal.
You don't have to absolutely max out of your 1RM do get stronger. Go read some of madcow2's articles.

who really cares about bench anyways. more powerful movements should be taken more into consideration for the combine. besides, "field strength and "weightroom strength" are two totally different things. even though some linebackers might be stronger, he plays with more intensity and makes up for it in other areas. he dominates EVERYBODY!

I played at a Division 1a school and i had a teammate squat 1100 lbs. He did in the mid 800's for five. He now plays nose guard for the Eagles.
