I played all three videos at the same time. It was like a chorus of squatting.

Looked solid to me. Form looked pretty consistent too. Only thing I can think of is to ask if you push your head/the bar back coming out of the hole & try to shove your chest to the ceiling? That would help eliminate your hips getting ahead of the bar & keep the two as close as possible.

And, while not a steadfast rule, most people can squat more than they can deadlift. Just sayin' And if you squat improves, your deadlift will improve & vice versa.

Do you do Good Mornings? That may be the best squat/deadlift accessory lift out there.

You should really consider running a PL program for a year or so & doing a meet. (serious)

Mmmm I dunno about that, I pull 100 lbs more than squat, would say that's fairly typical for peeps that routinely do both.

    No straps, right?

This would surprise me in that the deadlift is basically dependent on one's grip strength...not so with the squat.

I could always outdead my squat..it was close though...over/under I never use straps.

I stand corrected (somewhat). Raw it seems that deadlift will outpace a squat, but with gear it is overwhelming that squat outpaces one's deadlift.

Lol, wut? I'm pretty sure it's the other way around ..... and since 1 RMs are usually the measure of this then grip strength is not that big a factor in what someone deads for one rep.

All my big 3 lifts are weak but the are proportional and I pull 100lbs. over what I squat and thats with a gimpy right hand.

edit: one place it does happen is among elite equiped powerlifters because a good squat suit will trump a deadlift suit

Agreed. I am so used to seeing geared PLers that my raw facts were warped. Lotsa 1000+ lb squats but, to my knowledge, only one or 2 1000+ deadlifts.

Was pretty sure this was gonna be a partial squat.

    Was disappoint.

    You're a strong MOFO
    Thanks

I should have went a little lower , if I got the depth I got with 275 with the 315 I would have been ok with it ..... but , that s*** was heavy lol !!!

Ok will do , Ill work on that the next leg day.

Do you do Good Mornings? That may be the best squat/deadlift accessory lift out there.

You should really consider running a PL program for a year or so & doing a meet. (serious)
My deads have always been ahead of my squats.

ATM no good mornings , Ive been doing back extensions on a machine for a few weeks , wont try good mornings until I know my backs 100%.

I wanna give a deadlift comp a try one day but with my low bench #'s a PL meet aint gonna fly.

Good work Stevo! squats looks solid.
Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

Have to admit I am pretty surprised to read this. You do not strike me as the kind of guy who just admits defeat so easily. Very few people are really good in all 3.

First goal is a deadlift comp. I wanna see how that goes and get a feel for the meets , hell , Ive never been to one let alone thought about competing in one.

If everything goes good and my training and numbers go up to where I want them by the end of the year its always a possibility.

Damn nice lifts, impressive even, considering you are coming off down time and an injury.

What where your numbers when you were healthy?

Only thing I ever tried to find my 1rm on was deads , Ive always switched up my leg days between leg press , hack squats and BB squats.
