How many people fit into 4,000 square feet?

how can I figure out how many people is safe and comfortable to fit in a 4,000 square foot room? Anyone know how many people its okay to have in a room that size?

My estimate was around 2-300 as well. This is in a lounge setting, so it will be kind of crowded...but not in the sense that you have to push people around...

any more guesses/info?

I'd say about 250, I can't really grasp what 4000 sq. feet looks like.

well how many square feet does one "average" person need to be comfortable? take that and divide it by 4000.

I'm just going by a square because most rooms are square or rectangular. 60x60 is 3600sq ft

wat r they gonna do in the room? jsut stand or r u planning a party?

if they r gonna stand then (0.5-1m) squared per person

but im guessing u want a party so prob about (3-4m) squared per person

4000/((3-4m)x(3-4m)) = 444-250 poeple

EDIT: just realised u said feet so...increase it to lik 5 or 6 squared per person
