    Awful gas pains

I'm experiencing awful gas pains and can't figure out what it's from or how I can relieve it. Its the worst smelling gas in the world btw...Ginger root doesn't help 1 bit, and I don't want to rely on gas-x my entire life... Macros are roughly 100-120g fat, 250-400g carbs, 225-275g protein... Protein is coming from extra lean ground beef, egg whites(not many, not every day) and 1 whey shake per day(carnivore), carbs are coming from brown rice, sweet potatoes, white rice, flax cereal and Ezekiel bread. Fats are coming from the beef, avocados, and natty pb. I don't drink anything but water, and some almond milk. Aminos, and karbolic intra/post-workout.

Does anyone have any answers or remedies?

I get this from onions. It's terrible. Soft sh¡ts, super pungent farts all day long, bloated feeling.

But the onions are so delicious man...

No idea what causes it but I get it sometimes too. Mine are usually accompanied by bloating. I take a stool softener and that always helps me.

I occasionally hear a high protein diet makes gas terrible, I just live with it and yogurt with probiotics occasionally help and reducing the amount of eggs and broccoli I intake

I think artificial sweeteners from gum are a contributor, but i still get it without gum consumption. I'll try some probiotics. Thanks everyone!

Give acidophilus a shot...it's a probiotic and people in my family have had good results with it. I'm noticing a lot more bloating as well now that I've increased my protein intake. I only went up 30g/day but it's a noticeable different on my GI tract. I feel your pain (literally) bud.

Most of the time the smell of my gas could kill a small village - I think it's mostly due to high protein intake and also I notice it when I have broccoli. I love my protein and so try to be discreet and not knock anyone out.

For me the high protein was a contributor for sure. What helped me is a big dose of Metamucil every morning. The recommended dose is like 1 teaspoon 1 - 3 x/day but I have one heaping just the once. Keeps everything flowing smoothly and took the gas down a lot. Also, too much beef or beef too often hoops me (literally) too. Anyway, I'd try cutting out something out of my diet for 2 or 3 days until I found the culprit. I feel your pain bro.

Steamed green beans were the culprit for me yesterday...wife almost made me sleep on the couch...in the basement...LOL

Drink a ton of healthy juice like V8 or something.

It will help clean your system out.
