The claims are outrageous but then again so are all the ads in print media for the most part. Here were my thoughts from my original unsponsored LEUKIC review:

I would have to conclude no one can argue with the latter claim as you are not introducing any hormonal compounds, but rather a BCAA and a BCAA metabolite. However, the first claim does need a little more analysis.

I would have to say this is a misleading claim because any amino acid could be considered an "anabolic compound" given an optimal physiological state.

"Anabolic processes tend toward "building up" organs and tissues. These processes produce growth and differentiation of cells and increase in body size, a process that involves synthesis of complex molecules"

While this compound is proving to be effective at promoting anabolism, MT really needs to cut the bull**** and say just that. There is not reason to say something is 100% anabolic because it implies something else is less than 100% which could even apply to this compound if someone didn't have their micro and macronutrient intakes on par with a bodybuilder.

As always, spot on Des. I haven't broke it down quite yet. As you stated that would take a while. It is funny nonetheless. Trust me, I am not trying to topple MuscleTech Mountain. Its more a general jab at how rediculous the industry is and how MuscleTech has reached the summit from truly rediculous claims vs. truly great products. Personally, I don't think LeuKIC is a bad supplement. My problem is it grossly overpriced for what it is and side-splittingly overstated for what it does. Does it have some merit? Yes. Leucine is gathering much data. Des and Hal have put together some good threads along those lines. The 7.2g for the dose on the label is study-based, but here's the kicker...It is Leucine & KIC & Calcium. So how much leucine is actually in 6 caps of the 7.2g serving? Probably 2-3 grams. Of course it lists on the bottle "for extreme results, take twice a day", as well as, "For best results, stack with GAKIC."

By the way is Calcium anabolic? Hmm...I guess it can be for bone mass. Ah. Oh well.

I just want to point out that by the time something like this becomes remotely possible, there'll be nothing left to rule over. Every system--man-made or otherwise--is in such an accelerating state of collapse that the European bred notions of civilization (ie. dominance, power, control, abuse) will be impossible to fully actualize. Our most prime resources, those being a pristine habitat and essential nutrients, will step into the limelight through the "virtue" of scarcity as trivial matters such as oil take a long awaited back seat. I give it 5-10 years before it's so grossly apparent that the large majority begin medicating themselves in subservience to denial.

But that's just my opinion.
