Mental Stress Overlaps Physical Stress
Is it me or does mental stress generated from studying has more effects on your sleeping habits than physical exercise?
In other words, it seems I get better sleep when I'm mentally drained than compared to when I'm physically drained from lifting and etc...
Discuss fellow misc gentlemen's....

The body cannot exist without the mind. When the mind is drained, the body is drained.

i find it that the more my eyes are tired the sleepier i get.. like if im studying for an exam for long hours/ watch tv whatever my eyes would get tired n i would feel sleepy... the only time i felt tired from a workout is when i went skiing and it wasnt because of the activity it was because of the injuries i got from it... damn.

once i realized this, i stopped beating up nerds
i used to bash this one kid all the time
he always carried more than one textbook with him from his locker,
like an idiot
i used to always knock the pile over then me and some other a$$holes would laugh at him like it was cool to do or something
anyways, me and these a$$holes would fail out of class
sleep during class
and the nerds would pay attention in class
wtf?
anyways the moral of the story is...
$hit i forget
i'ma go lift some weights now wtf? and no i am not high maybe a littel

If I am mentally anxious, if I'm worried about an event that is going to come in the morning or something, I may wake up several times early in the morning, naturally, in preparation for it. It's like my mind gets me up to prepare me for it.
I get the best sleep when I'm relaxed and unstressed, not drained, especially mentally.
Physical stress means very little. Right now I'm on a protein sparing modified fast, which is about 1000 calories a day all from 6 fish oil capsules and protein, and I'm training MMA and weights. I can handle the physical stress fine. I haven't noticed that much of a change in sleeping habits and energy, but I'm also running E/C so who knows what it would be like without it.
So, I experience it differently than you.

yes I do notice this too, I sleep better after a long day of studying
although it's hard to go to sleep right after studying, it takes some time to wind down, just like working out I suppose
I think max omega is talking more about mental tiredness rather than stress as in worrying about something? If I have a big exam the next day, then yeah I probably wouldn't sleep very well.

Right, sorry for being misleading. I'm directing towards more mental tiredness than stress
