they may prescribe you albuterol for your asthma, and if you get the high dose pill then it is very effective for weightloss. albuterol is a beta-2 agonist like ephedrine.
i've had asthma before and the medicine definately helped. i don't think asthma ever held me back.

Is it just dry cough? If it is asthma, the best thing is to get put on inhalers to deal with it.. if left untreated, it can get worse. It won't hold you back in bodybuilding. Lots of people have asthma. Protein shakes and creatine are fine. You might need to take a ventolin type inhaler preworkout.. but it isn't a big deal.

Never heard of an albuterol pill. On that note the albuterol inhaler is not going to do anything for you with fat loss. Although it is structurally similar to clenbuterol it is way to fast acting to get those effects. Please don't think about overdosing with your inhaler...

well now it's just dry cough and my doc said it's broncitis but he said it might be the beginning of asthma and did some inhalations do help open up the bronchi.
but now that i look back in the past i realize that ive had this weird need of taking a deeper breath every once in a while since i was a kid. no matter what im doing either watching tv, sleeping or working out ive always had to take this deeper breath.
we'll see on saturday im gonna see another doctor. see what he says.

I've had asthma since I was 3 years old. Used to take a liquid as a child but I've been on an Abuterol inhaler since I was 8 years old. I've NEVER had any reactions to any supplementation or anything of the sort. Even the Heavy Lifting does not cause any onset of asthma except maybe a bit of shortness of breath when going crazy with squats. Running, swimming and even lifting heavy are all good exercise for asthmatics. Just have your inhaler close at hand if need be. I have like six of em stashed all over. In my room, car, work, bookbag, etc. just in case. Rarely ever need em though. I doubt its asthma but Good Luck with it bro!

I actually had some major athsma problems a few weeks ago and the doctor prescribed predisone. Now let me tell you I have never taken an anabolic steroid but this stuff really kicks the llamas ass. I took 3 and I was wide awake on 3 hours of sleep about 3x faster then the rest of the world. 2 still gave me the jitters and I could work out for hours. Ask your doctor for that.

Make sure you use your inhaler within 30 minutes prior to working out. Ive had asthma since I was ababy, they dint have the treatments thye do now. So take advantage of them. Asthma can and does kill people. So make sure it's well controlled. Don't ever let it hold you back from your goals

Prednisone has Major side effects when used in the long term. Dont use that stuff lightly. It isnt a bull**** drug. You were probably on a decreasing dose, which is used in the short term with inflammatory type problems. No kidding. Dont mess around with prednisone. Look up the side effects. I'm a nusre and have been for 18 years. I can always tell if someone has been on prednisone for a while.

Asthma has never ever held me back from lifting, but it has held me back from cycling when it is too muggy or polluted outside. Advair (Seretide in Australia, as the one guy said) is one of the main medications for asthma. Albuterol is what they call a rescue inhaler (kinda like how you only take aspirin if you have a headache or whatnot). Advair now comes in two forms: 1) a dry powder in a purple disc that you have to inhale, and 2) it just came out as an inhaler with a propellant (the same manner as albuterol). You can also ask about Singulair, a tablet that can help with asthma symptoms. I also recommend checking into a regular antihistamine.
I also recommend making sure that where you live is dust and mold free. Every time I get sloppy with cleaning here, my breathing gets worse.

Yeah it was a decreasing dose and I definetly wont be taking it as a recreational drug. A couple of side effects include suceptibility to tears/breakage as well as onion skin in the long term.

on an added note, strong bulk muscles require less oxygen then limp fatty ones? hence bodybuilding is good for athsma? I read that somewhere.
