    problem doing calf raises

do you guys think calf raises are even necessary for leg work? because everytime i do my first set (which is the heaviest) at 190, on the 6th rep, my calves would tend to cramp up which would leave me ****ed for the rest of my calf workouts....is there any suggestions on what I should do?

    leg workout order
    back squats
    seated leg press
    seated leg curls
seated calf raises <--- problem with calfs cramping
    I LOVE BB.

that would definately contribute to it some. Another thing you might want to do is add a banana to your postworkout meal/shake. I had the same problem you did but since then I havne't gotten any cramps. However, you might not notice the effects too well until after about two or three weeks.

Also make sure you warm up properly before you workout, getting the calves from cold to workout is a bad idea
