here's what i hafta say about muscle memory...
before wreslting my soph year i could bench about 260 and clean 225. When i started to cut i noticed my numbers going down (that is to be expected, especially when cutting unhealthily and not supplementing). when the season ended my bench was a dismal 185 and i dont even want to say what my cleans were. needless to say in about 2 months my bench was up to 265 (an 80 lb increase). I firmly belive it was that memory ingrained in my muslces knowing that i could lift heavy weight, but not working hard enuff during the cutting time to get there. i hope this helps.
