tuna question

i've been eating a lot of tuna lately(about 19.5 ounces a day to be exact). its cheap and is high in protein and low in calories and fat. i am a little concerned about mercury though. i've read you should only eat about 26 ounces a week. if thats the case it really messes with my tuna diet. what do you guys think? should i be worried about this?

If it hasn't been mentioned before, as long as you're taking your N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) and Glutathione, and having regular chelation therapy sessions, I wouldn't worry unless you start behaving like the Mad Hatter.

NAC helps the body synthesize glutathione, an important antioxidant. In animals, the antioxidant activity of NAC protects the liver from the adverse effects of exposure to several toxic chemicals.

Glutathione is involved in detoxification—it binds to toxins, such as heavy metals, solvents, and pesticides, and transforms them into a form that can be excreted in urine or bile. Glutathione is also an important antioxidant.

Chelation therapy is a form of healthcare that draws metabolic wastes and toxic metals out of the bloodstream. This is usually achieved by injecting chelating agents (such as ethylene diamine tetra acetate—EDTA) that bind with other substances.

The term "mad hatter" is drawn from a time when mercury was used in the process of curing felt used in some hats. Over time the residual mercury would cause neurological damage (not the only damage caused by mercury toxicity of course). Anyone exhibiting an altered mental state was dubbed mad at the time.
