Next Jay Cutler, Evan Centopani (Another one of New Breed)

If Phil Heath is Ronnie Coleman (by that Phil in due time will dominate the Pro Bodybuilding for a long time), I think this kid might bethe Jay Cutler of future bodybuilding (by that I mean, he will be a good competition against Phil but not get his due for a long time, yet dominate all other competitors).

He is Evan Centopani (only 23 or 24 years old).
He only competed couple of times, first in 2005 Atlantic States where he won Heavyweight and Overall (He wasn't even planing to compete there), and also in 2006 Junior Nationals where he won superheavy and overall.

At Junior Nationals, at his 5'11 height, he weight shredded 237 pounds (his offseason weight is around 270). At only 23/24 years of age, that is really impressive. And his guns are 23" offseason, 21" or 22" during competition.

So.. What do you guys think?

I think he looks awesome, problem is, he's an endomorph and will probably spill over like Palumbo before ever reaching his prime.

mind you, he's still young and little bit taller than average bodybuilders at 5'11" (only couple of inches but still..)

I'm sure he will bring them up in no time...

I saw this kid in MD a few issues back and was floored. I was a bit sad to here he's working with Palumbo - why? There are better "guru's" then that guy around. I think Palumbos advice will be 90% drug cocktail knowledge and 10% workout tricks & advice.

Never the less, this kid will do some serious damage in the future. He has 23inch arms supposedly? If the legs come out - lights out Heath LOL

It's great to see these much younger generation being better and badder.
IFBB pro ranks were getting a little old...(it's good to see people with maturity prosper but.. we gotta think about the future too.)

An yeah... I agree with people's concern about working with Palumbo... Evan should find someone else... like... Milros or Dorian or Charles Glass or someone...

He's 5'11 which would be around Ronnie Coleman's height. around 2 inches or so taller than Phil Heath

In terms of their potential to dominate and become out-of-worldly good.
Like how Ronnie was seem unbeatable for so long? I think Phil Heath can pull that off too. That's why I made that reference.

And This guy, although I don't think he's as good as Phil in many levels yet, he has trained properly even less than Phil...so...he could possibly catch up to Phil later on. He has completely different strength and weaknesses to Phil. They share the same advantage of youth, shape, and ability to be big without losing symetry. But Evan is taller, bigger and able to put on mass quicker than Phil. However, Phil has the shape, conditioning and 'wow' factor... So.. I can see them battling out for top spots later on, just like Ronnie VS Jay.

    That's why..

I think too many people are already handing it to Heath in the future. I agree he has amazing potential but I don't think he's there yet. Once he proves he can hold his own with the big boys, then I'll be impressed

Yeah. He's definitely got a lot of work cut out for him to live up to his hype. But, he is one of the youngest pro and most successful pro in terms of strike rate in the pro scene at the moment. He has the shape, ability to put on mass without losing asthetic look, conditioning and even the 'wow' factor.

Since Flex Wheeler, Kevin Levron, and Shawn Ray's debut, nobody has ever made the impact that Phil Heath made.

Art Atwood won his first pro show but never even came close to his first showing ever. Alex Fedrov was hyped to be the next big thing but he's having hard time making top 10 in small shows. Phil Heath won his first two pro bodybuilding shows (he has never lost any bodybuilding competition since he started competing, except for his first one where he lost overall.). He beat a good Olympian like Darram Chales twice. I think he is legit.

Currently, I think except for Ronnie, Jay, Victor and Dex... I couldn't find anyone who has more complete package and potential to be in the top.

But yeah... I guess we will see how he does in Arnold 2007 and Mr. Olympia if he qualifies for it.

Like everyone is saying, needs bigger legs. For those shortchanging Phil, he is only 26. Remember that. Jay is 33 and is considered young. Both this guy and Phil Heath have years ahead of them before reaching their best. I'm not sayin they'll be Mr. O next year, but in future years (whenever that may be) they will definately be some of the top dogs and I honestly believe that Phil and/or this guy will be Mr. O someday. Can't count out Dennis Wolfe either. I'm glad that bodybuilding has gotten some new blood within the past year or two.

I think Phil Heath is overrated. IMO, he was beat by Darrem Charles at the NY comp in just about everything from mass(especially chest and lats), conditioning, and just overall better looking. This guy just has way too much attention. There are so many great and better pros out now then him by a long shot. The guy is also low in weight and mass. Guys like Martinez, Ruhl possibly, and even Gustavo deserve more attention right now.

I am sorry, but I don't see what there is to be hyped up about him besides some people speculating.
