i use zma and it rocks!
only problem is i ALWAYS wake up after 5 hours of sleep and it seems im rested
however i want to try and add more to the equation
would mixing melatonin to zma increase the duration of my total deep restoring sleep?

I wouldn't suggest Melatonin because I've heard that if taken too much it can effect your glands from producing Melatonin naturally. I'm a hard person to stay asleep too. I take ZMA and Simply Sleep that always gives me around 8 - 9 hours of sleep. Do NOT take Tylenol PM. Only do that if you're in pain around bedtime, headache, etc. Taking Tylenol PM often can be dangerous or harmful... I don't remember the exact reason why but it's something to do with the pain reliever in TPM's.

I take ZMA and occasional Melatonin when sleep patterns are interupted, well its frequently interrupted but I don't always take the Melatonin, for reasons mentioned above by Psychoman. I didn't read of the side effects he mentioned but I figure since is a hormone, too much reliance could result in my body stopping production of sleep hormone naturally.

I'm not clever enough to know what delta sleep means lol but i will say one thing zma and white blood at night is a kick ass combo knocks me right out and I wake up feeling refreshed and good to go good stuff also a time released vitamin c supplement at night time which contains around a gram of vit c would be useful for cortisol suppression

when you take melatonin its recommended to cycle off it...its best to only take it when you know you are having a hard time falling asleep.
melatonin works for sure though it makes me yawn and get sleepy but dont take it every single day cause i took it everysingle day and built up a tolerance for 2 weeks straight i took it and i couldnt fall asleep anymore...
i went off it for 4 months and took it again 1 day and went right to sleep...i suggest only taking it when you have to sleep early.
