    What is this exercise called???

Looking for the name of this exercise and what it targets, I'll do my best to explain.

Attach a rope to the bottom connection point of the "crossover machine". Stand facing the stack, and bent over to grab the rope with both hands, then stand up straight and do "curls" by raising the rope from the bottom position (around knees) to the finishing position (arms aprx at a 90 degree angle), then repeat. The whole time you have kind of a "V" grip on the rope.

You guys know which exercise I mean? Is it any good?

Am I safe to think I’m hitting the triceps foremost, and the biceps secondary?

    Thanks.

Sounds like it only hits the bis / fore arm. Not the tris at all.

Sounds like just a cable hammer curl with the rope attachment. Has the same advantages as hammer curls have. Doesn't hit the triceps though. Generally pulldowns and presses hit triceps.

You are performing elbow flexion so it would be a biceps exercise. Elbow extension would be for the triceps.

Are you using a rope attachment?

That sounds right, makes sense as it is very similar motion to a dumb bell hammer curl. Thanks!

    papi93....yes, I'm using a rope attachment.

I always referred to them as "rope curls."
