Arrow Difference between Steel Cut & Normal Oats

    Hey ppl

So i've tried searching for steel cut oats but with no luck at all, all i can find is Quaker Oats & Porridge Oats, The other type are those non cut ones, farmed directly, Not yet Cut in any way

My Question is, Can i somehow get the Non-Cut Oats & get them steelcut locally, is it much of a big deal?

Besides, Can anyone plz describe the exact Nutrition value variation between Steel cut & other type's of oats available, Calories & carb's description would do alright

Since Oats would be one of the main sources to put as much as weight possible on me

    Thank's

I believe the main (and possibly only) difference is GI. There might be slight nutritional differences.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong. thanks.

    yar
gi due to the way they are cut, nutritional diff only to density due to shape (granular vs. flaked vs. powdery) and mislabeling brand to brand. different texture when cooked.

what your probably wondering is this
its not like difference between brown and white rice, or whole wheat and white bread. its just the way they are milled.

oats are oats, it doesnt matter what cut they are or what not its all the same if you think about it. rolled, steel, scottish, quick rolled, thick rolled, its all the same nutrition wise, and gi doesnt really make a difference because its so small

I cut my own. haha, not really. I buy regular rolled oats and put them in a coffee grinder to create a powder. I put this powder in my shaker cup with a scoop of protien to take to work as a snack.
