its weird....i just started working out less than a month ago. and i started doing squats but with low weights. right now im only doing around 100lb. the past 3 times i did squats, the back of my knees had alot of pain. and the pain only really lasts the rest of the night and just a LITTLE the next day... anyone know why this is happening and what i can do about it?

go ahead and talk **** over the computer little kid...
yea im sure its not my hamstrings...i know what hamstrings are. and yea im going past parallel. its not really the BACK of my knee but the sides of it on the back.
i guess its that lateral collateral ligament? thats basically whats always in pain
but Goofxta, yea im using a smith machine right now. i planned on startin with the machine then movin to the free weight squats cause im a beginner...if thats the reason then ill change that on my next workoutLast edited by Chicago1287; 10-08-2006 at 01:50 PM.

Do a search for proper squat form, there are also videos here. If you are not using that form, start.
If you are using proper form, you have a problem. See a doctor.Kill one man and you are a murderer. Kill a million and you are a conquerer. Kill them all and you are God
If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat.

you think using the smith machine might be the problem?Last edited by Chicago1287; 10-08-2006 at 02:28 PM.
