Hold you rep and you will increase in strength. Deltoid (Shoulders), Bicep + Tricep are the main ones. I suppose upper back is good too.

Forearm is for grip so thats also a factor. Apparently you Tricep acounts for 60% of strength in the arm.
I got some lil' red gems...
and if i get anymore I dont care necause im 450,000 in the red.

Arm wrestling is about technique, not strength. Any of the worlds best will tell you that.

No idea, i've watched 2 documentaries on it. If your incredibly interested im sure there are organizations you could join to help you get more involved. Me telling you what i think would work best, has a good chance to be incorrect.

You can have a guy with a strong rotator cuff, against a weaker guy who's been arm wrestling for a year, and he'd kill you. Explain that.

    Wink

the techniques easy. muscle helps but id say its 80% technique!!!
all you have to do is pull there arm towards you so that you can get more power by using ur body weight. there are lots of other techniques like the hook, which is where u use ur forearm to hook there hand over so that when they push they wont be able to use any power because there hand will be bend back. there is also the over roll and lots of other techniques.

id say that the best technique to use is the hook if you can master this technique and build up your forearms u will be able to beat anyone that doesnt no the proper technique. also u have to remember to pull there arm towards you because the nearer its is to u the more force u will be able to use. its like when u do flies and u extend the weight fully out away from ur body its much harder to lift then if u where to press it straight up.

i smash everyone at arm wrestling now i no how to use these techniques. its easy

i hope this post has helped

yes techniques own all. If you'd look at any arm wrestling forums you'd know this also if you know hook that will not let you win every arm wrestle different techniques work in different situations. There are many factors to know what technique to use! Theres if hes stronger/weaker, how long his arms are ect...

Heres the techniques (pics and how to perform the technique in the links provided )

    Hook:
    http://www.eiyc.com/hook.htm

The hook is the most common move in arm wrestling. You are probably familiar with the hook, because it is the move that is used when arm wrestling is portrayed in bars and elsewhere on TV. It is considered an "inside" move, meaning you are trying to beat your opponent's arm instead of his hand (as you do in a toproll). To be successful in a hook, you should be stronger than or at least equal to the strength level of your opponent. You need not have as good a bench press or squat as your opponent, because this strength counts very little in arm wrestling. Instead, try to gauge your forearm and bicep strength against that of your opponent. If you believe that you are not as strong as him or her, try toprolling instead. If, on the other hand, you compare favorably to your opponent, you can really blast him in an impressive manner with the hook.

    Toproll:
    http://www.eiyc.com/toproll.htm

The toproll is a great move to beat your less experienced friends with. If you win with a toproll, you are winning with leverage instead of brute strength. This is because the toproll is what is referred to as an "outside" move. You are trying to put tremendous pressure on your opponent's fingers, causing his hand to open up and allowing you to gain leverage. When the opponent's hand opens up, it allows you to get further out on his hand (toward his finger tips) and makes it very difficult for him to "outmuscle" you until he regains his hand position. You, of course, should fight to maintain and improve your hand position, thereby taking his (possibly) more powerful arm out of the match! If you do it quick enough, he will have no idea what happened!

    Press:
    http://www.eiyc.com/press.htm

The press is one of the purest power moves in arm wrestling. Having a bulky upper body certainly helps with this one. If you are confident that you have superior upper body power (especially chest and triceps) to your opponent and are at least equal in bicep and forearm strength, this is a good move to perform. If, however, your opponent is much stronger than you are in the chest and triceps, using the press might be a bad idea. This move can be beaten by a quick toproll, as it is vulnerable to strong, quick backpressure. This is because your arm must be close to your body to perform this move, so if your opponent can pull your arm across the table you will not be able to win with a press.

The press is also a good move to use in a long tournament. Unlike the hook and toproll, which rely most heavily upon the biceps and forearms, the primary muscles used in the hook are the triceps, shoulders, and chest. Thus, a good way to give your bi's and forearms a rest during a long tournament is to throw in a press when you can. Be careful, however, to use it only in situations where your chest and tricep strength is superior to that of your opponent!

If you read these you'd know that its many muscles! such as forearms, biceps, chest, triceps, shoulders ect...

Also a few good tips you should know are try to keep your arm close to your body for good leverage and keep the same foot your using out. Example: your arm wrestling with your right arm put out your right foot ahead of your left one.

It is all in the proper technique. The twisting of the wrist properly, finishes someone off. You must put them in a position where their leverage and strength is limited.

Its not just the rotator cuff.. what about your bicep and forearm, and hand grip?

You can have the strongest rotator cuff in the world but you wont win without those being strong too and good technique.

my neighbor broke his shoulder arm wrestling. 4 months later he was doing it again and broke his forearm... a group of kids from my highschool started an arm wrestling club and more people got injured than you can shake a stick at so they closed it down. arm wrestling is a stupid waste of time and dangerous. if you're trying to prove something, start martial arts or something.
