Try lunges, step ups, squats, smith squats, leg press, hack squat with barbell and machine and see what doesent hurt your knee. I have a bad left wrist that doesent let me do straight barbell curls and even hurts during some presses, just find a good substitute excercise if you cant do a certain excercise.
