your body just breaks them down into amino acids and what not and just kinda uses them for energy when needed, they just gradually dissapear due to atrophy. this is my oppinion, which is probably sort of right but mostly wrong.
all i know is that they atrophy, decrease in size, and then if the body doesnt need them for exercise anymore it just eats them away.
you wont get fat from not working out though, thats just because people intake the same amount of callories even though their not expending them. muscle doesnt turn to fat, and fat doesnt turn to muscle.
When someone stops weight lifting for a while, part of the muscles go away, what happens to it? Does it go with poo?
What? You think you **** your muscles down the toilet when you stop working out?
Because your absolutely right! That's exactly what happens!
Not only are my muscles big but they've got more layers of fibras n **** than other peoples. Just the other day my man J-Bomb thought he was cokcy **** since hes pretty damn jacked too put he aint got **** on me. We set up some weights in my backyard, topless in this weather, real man **** here son, no time for pussy assed health spas, i schooled his ass, should have seen his eyes, couldnyt believe the kinda sh21t i was lifting.
the quick easy answer, muscle mass takes lots of your bodies energy to maintain, once you stop lifting which gives your body a reason to maintain that mass, your body does what it is designed to do, make it easier to survive (especially if you start to eat less once you are done lifting) and feed off of your muscle so that it gets energy from the protein there and you lower your daily energy needs.
