    Thumbs up veggie~

so, i know this is going to be a question that i am sure many people have asked but i eat green veggies like 3 times a day, and while i am satisfied with just boiling, steaming, or roasting.. i need a little more variety while i am not in season..

if anyone has any ways that they would like to share about how they prepare thier veggies that would be awesome!

    thanks a bunch~

How about stir frying? I do this often. Just chop up a whole heap of veggies, add low sodium soy/tamari, garlic, ginger etc....Delcious!

    Veggies

I like tjo take asparagus, saute it in 100% FF chicken broth with a little ginger grated in (grate in to your taste) and it is delicious. It taste even better the next day when the ginger has had time to infuse in the aspargus. I have also done this to make stir fry and serve over brown rice. Oh so good.

Drizzle asparagus with some olive oil and a twist of salt, then roast for ten minutes.

Chop raw broccoli or shred some cabbage and eat as a salad with French dressing.

Boil up your veg in a cup of chicken stock, then blend for a quick soup.

I'm like you, I need some variety! These are great tips...

I also combine my veggies with my other foods in a meal...like I chop up red and yellow peppers and broil them with my orange roughy. Makes the fish and the veg taste better!! Or I'll mix some into my tuna or grill them with my chicken. But I must admit my fave is to saute them as someone mentioned...just throw them in the pan with the chicken or beef I am cooking and toss some seasonings or low sodium soy sauce in there. I was out of almost everything a few days ago and put a bit of water and some taco seasoning in with my chicken and green peppers and it was good!
