    Results from 5x5

I just wanted to say that i went from benching 135 to 170 pounds in two months and still havent hit a plateau. I also notice that there is a big guy (has a nice build and could compete in natural bodybuilding) looking at me and laughing at me quietly because i lift heavy and he says im not building muscle.

Tell him to mind his own f*cking business. You aren't lifting for his benefit.

Congrats on the gains man. Keep it up!

BTW when that dude laughing at you turns his back, "accidentally" drop a plate on his foot.

    Actually, don't do that. I'm j/k.

In Februrary I started lifting and did a traditional bodypart split till the beginning of July. During that time some friends noticed some slight gains in size I had made, and commented on it, asked me if I had been working out at all. Then in July I started my 5x5. Today I saw some of those same friends for the first time since July, and their reaction was "Holy crap, what have you been doing?". Yeah, you can gain plenty of mass on a 5x5...but like everything else, you're not going to gain anything if your diet sucks.
