    Can inversion increase height

    im 5'7 and a half and wish i was taller ive been lookign at inversion tables and hypnosis

    it can increase height temporarily...but then when you return to a weight bearing position (ie standing) for a period of time, your intervertebral discs will again lose some degree of hydration and you will be back to normal ole, short ass you.

    Your spine naturally expands and compresses. When you wake up tomorrow morning, measure yourself. Then do it again tomorrow night. You will be taller in the morning.

    Hanging upside down will give you that increase; but it's not 'real'. Your bones aren't going to grow.

    a while back i was also researching how to grow and stumbled upon a site for pills (forgot the name)

    it said, take 2 of these a day. also u must eat alot of fruit an veggies and grains, be active, get min 8 hours of sleep a nite. dont eat fatty foods and about 20 others things lol

    so basically, try being healthy and clean and sleep...also monkey bars + bball helps

    although pills that make you grow, that you found on the internet...if there the ones im thinking of, yeah theyll make you grow a few inches...for a fee hours, then your dick goes soft again. Its called viagra.

    At 24, I think you are probably finished growing, so unfortunately I do not think this will help in regards to growing taller from a larger skeleton. The only thing I am not sure of is if the soft tissue between the bones that also contribute to our height might be possible to increase.

    When you invert or place your spine under traction (this happens with chinups and dips, especially with belts) then your ligaments, which connect the bones of your spine nad legs, are put under stress.

    To adapt to this stress, perhaps ligaments get thicker over time. If they get thicker, they would take up more space between your bones. So, even if your bones do not get any thicker, perhaps you would be taller because the space between your bones remains larger (though certainly not to the extent of after inversion, you will ALWAYs shrink after a while) due to having more ligament mass to rest on?

    This is all theoretical of course.

    Also, I have read on heightening forums these guys think that by causing microfractures in their bones through high-intensity stuff like sprinting, and then putting the limb under traction (I think they lay on their backs on beds with legs dangling off wearing ankle weights) that this traction helps the bones to repair themselves in a minisculely longer way each time?

    That also, is purely theoretical, and similarly unproven, but it is fun to think about.

    Well from what i understood but i can be wrong is that inversion can actually increase your height due to 2 important factors.

    1. Since the average person is always sleeping incorrectly and sitting wrong this causes your posture (spine) to be somewhat slouched specially while your walking. So therefore an inversion routine can straighten and improve posture over time letting you to appear to be up to 1.5 inches taller since the slouch in your spine is hiding your real height.

    2. Another good point is while Working on a good basketball and running/sprint routine with your inversion exercise and using some weights with the inversion you can actually build cartilage between your spinal cord and therefore giving a small increase in height. Maybe up to .5" inches

    But to my understanding this takes some dedication and some time but well worth the results since you can factor in some good shoes exp: (Doc.Martens or Italian dress boots) to add to the tall appearance and can pull off a 3" extra height with the above mentioned.

    Well like stated above your only 17 your still growing bro you might grow 2 or 3 or more inches more depending on genetics and if you weight train heavy since this might stun your growth. All i can recommend is what you read in my post above and good nutrition and some multi-vitamins and calcium.

    Get a pair of Inversion boots.

    Improves posture!! Awesome for abs and lower back.

    Play Basketball (Jumping Is great!!)
    Stretch Alot (Maybe Yoga)
    Sprint and Run

    Good Nutrition
    Calcium
    Multi-Vitamins
    Milk (Vitamin D)

    And lastly a good stress free sleep!!! (Don't stay up late your body mostly grows during sleep it needs it) And forget the Pillow. No Pillow you need to stretch your spine.

    also, inversion tables help out with back pain too, alot of old people use them for that.

    I haven't tried these yet, but i heard alot of peoples posture improving from wearing *** shoes for about an hour a day. Their supposedly modeled after an African Tribe which has perfect posture.

    yeah i've heard of some people who did some **** like that. it's super painful, i think she went from like 4'9" to 5'1" or some ****.
