    one of the advantages of having a low bone and muscle density... this gives you a high power to weight ratio, so you can lift your bodyweight easier.
    i have a high bone density, so i can't do many pullups or dips.

    this is why pullups and dips are a bad way of judging one's strength - they're good for determining one's power to weight ratio, but not necessarily strength. being fat and/or having dense bones and muscles will make pullups and dips harder for you.

    Yeah, dips and pullups are a bad measure of strength, because one guy might be dipping 120, the other 200.

    However, when you see people doing weighted dips with 60lbs plus, gotts give them mad respect.

    Yeah there are many measures of strength. Dips are my fav, im currently on a 3x5 with a 30kg dbell weighing me down. Id be more proud of being able to do a greater weight dip rather than higher no of reps. The topic shud rly be "what added weight can you do X pullups with?"

    yeah i'd probably be more impressed with a 220lb powerlifter who can do 10 then a 130lb kid doing 30. Anyways, I did 27 the other day for gym. I did 20 with a 10lb plate at my house. Stats in profile~
