You mean Gothic as in the Germanic nation that arose near the time of the Roman Empire, or as in those homos that wear black and sulk all the time? Cause the first one I'm down for, those guys were pretty badass, but the second one is just pathetic.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Alright, goth requirements.
- You must watch the movie gothika 10 times.
- You must listen to these goth metal bands such as Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne and other bands we hold, you must not listen to fake goth metal bands such as Beseech, Lacuna Coil, Opera IX, Orphanage, The Sins of Thy Beloved.
- You must ONLY like goth metal, all other metal is banned.
- You must be attracted to dark art, dark music, anything with a darkness to it.
- Must follow and aspire to Marilyn Manson.
- You must always look like Brandon Lee in the Crow or similar.
- You must at least be able to play one slipknot song on guitar.

I watched that video posted in this thread, and my question is this: "are they serious?"
what the hell kind of fight is that? my 10 year old daughter would take both of those pansies at the same time.
I guess when I was that age(like early high school), things were different. fights weren't like that. You got bloodied and messed up. Those poor little kids trying to act tough.

All a gun does is focus an explosion in one direction. You have a class of young strong men and women, and they want to give their lives to something. Advertising has these people chasing cars and clothes they don't need. Generations have been working in jobs they hate, just so they can buy what they don't really need. ~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club, Chapter 19.
Basically means we shouldnt be reformed to these labels, etc. People believe they are sculpted in society and you become a person that not you have moulded but a person society and the system has moulded. Its also stupid to take away peoples freedom to love what they want to love.
Society or certain members have been consumed by this narrow-minded view of buying things, shopping, etc.

yeah..shopping is teh ghey...
A king may move a man, a father may claim a son. But remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.

Certain religions preach that we are not allowed freedom to love what we want and not allowed this and i'm thinking are these people really preaching freedom or are they preaching enslavement.
So i'm basically saying if certain people were not pompous and self-righteous, believing there theories are correct and pushing them on other people, the world would probably be somewhat a better place but the terrible thing is people are afraid or too ignorant to help each other.
I mean in bodybuilding and any sport, friendly competition is good as it drives you, it can also give you determination but taking things to far such as having jealousy or degrading another human being, etc is just in my view childish and will lead nowhere.

Aren't you self riteous for assuming that without laws and theories the world would be a better place? Wouldn't a more 'reasonable" argument be live and let live.
