Weight gainer as meal replacement?
Here is my question:
Recently after my workout at the gym I have been consuming a weight gainer after my workout. This shake consists of 70 grams of protein, 40 carbs, 12 grams of fat and around 800 calories. B/c I have this after my workout which is 7pm and I usually go to sleep around 11 and have my creatine also at 11, is it ok not to eat food after I workout and instead continue to have this weight gainer shake which seems to have everything a normal meal would have?

its not a matter or whether it'll be 'burnt off' of not (also FYI fat doesn't make you fat, fat will only be stored in your apidose tissue {bodyfat} if your more calories than your body can use to build/repair new cells {muscle} or aren't providing your body with the correct forms of nutrtion at the proper times {processed sugar, saturated fats, etc.} )
The reason Fat is bad Post workout is because it will blunt your insulin response, slowing down the rate at which glucose/amino acids can get to your muscles starting the repair process putting you back in an anabolic state.
Now ditch that 'weight gainer' and create your own PWO shake - something like
Skim milk
High glucose Fruit (banana, grapes etc.)
Whey powder
+/- dextrose, maltodextrin, rice cakes (high GI carbs)
+/- some rolled oats (low GI carbs)
Sip on that during your workout and then finish it off directly after your workout. An hour later have a meal with some protein and healthy fats, (+/- some fibre or carbs .. this will depend upon your current goals) and then another meal around 10:30 - 11 right before bed. (being some healthy fats, some form of casein protein such as cottage cheese +/- some berries +/- some pysllium seed husks {fibre} )

If you are taking a weight gainer with 800 calories, I would assume you are bulking. ANd when you are bulking, you just have to eat period. A weight gainer shake with tons of calories and protein and carbs is perfect post workout. It gives your body EXACTLY what you need. I would try to eat again before bed, but post workout is as good of a time as any for a shake, no matter how many cals. If you are bulking, dont worry about quality, go for quantity.

Fat slows down protein absorbtion so its a bad idea to have a weight gainer with lots of fat in it. Just buy whey for PWO and keep weight gainer for between meals but not as a subistute for meals.

Keep the weight gainer
Keep using the shake if you are in a bulking stage than you will need every bit of it, but to pay attention to the sugar content, because you will need simple carbs and complex for the shake to be effective post workout. I have taken prolab n large 2 for about 4 years started at 145, now 210. Works for me.
