I like oats myself, but do not go crazy eating them. Really they are nothing but complex carbs/fiber...little nutritional value...Help you poop if you have a pooping problem. Why not eat scrambled egg whites or protein shakes if you are serious about protein and bodybuilding? Please enlighten me..

Lets see you subsist on nothing but pure Oats for every meal that you eat. You'll be malnourished and in negative protein balance. Not trying to be confrontational, but do the research (And don't get your facts from the Oat industry because they are out to force-feed oats to anything with a pulse). In my opinion they are only good as an "accessory" or tertiary food type, albeit a good choice for varietal reasoning.

* 34% RDA Phosphorus
* 19% RDA Calcium
* 18% RDA Vitamin B1
* 17% RDA Zinc
* 16% RDA Vitamin B2
* 12% RDA Vitamin B
* 67% RDA Iron
Oats are a good source of soluble fibre. A number of studies have shown that a diet which is low in fat and rich in soluble fibre can help reduce high blood cholesterol levels.
Oats have a low Glycaemic Index which means they are absorbed into the blood stream slowly helping to keep blood sugar levels stable. Many nutrition experts now believe choosing a diet based around carbohydrates with a low GI offers several health benefits

Oats have proven to be one of the most beneficial grains one could eat for anything. They have more soluble fiber than any other grain in its class, and is packed with many nutrients, not to mention one of the most versatile ingredients around.
You are incredibly ignorant to believe that oats, in any way smaller than extra-significantly, are beneficial to any trainer's general nutrition.

If youre going to eat grains, I think oats are about the best choice. I feel much better with them than wheat. Wheat is ****ing **** tbh, especially wheat fibre.

Whether or not grains are a useful part of any diet, is a wide-open issue imo. I have yet to conclude either way.5'11", 187lbs, 19 y/o

I like having green bars, so I will keep my mouth shut.
I agree with Joe, if I was going to eat grains it would be oats. The least processed as far as I can tell.They couldn't go back to the Greasers
All they could do was pick up the pieces
Surely Brenda and Eddie would always find a way to survive
