Kevin Trudeau book
Has anyone else read the book by this guy? He pretty much knocks modern medicine of all sorts along with the govornment. Just looking to get other peoples take on this. Personally I think the guy is right in some cases.....but full of BS in all the others. Doing a Google search pretty much pulls up all of his arrests and charges with the FTC. Credit card fraud and all of that. Wife swears by his book (influence from work I am sure) but I think hes just out to make a buck for the most part. Anyone else read it? I have not read the whole thing...just bits and peices of it.

I read it and have to say it was an eye opener for me. In fact, it is what got me to eat clean and organic foods. I think he is full of BS in some aspects, and I know he was arrested for something a while back but I do think he's right on about the government and the FDA. A quick buck is all they are looking for. Same with doctors (most, not all).

He was on all sorts of weird infomercials before his latest thing, and some of the things he says make me absolutely not trust him. For example, I saw him on tv say that juvenille onset diabetes could be controlled completely through diet (if THAT is true, I have not seen a single documented case to support it and that info could be very dangerous to someone who blindly follows it). However, that does not mean there are not some useful and true things in his book. Personally, I would rather go to a trusted source to find the same information, rather than someone who I ~suspect~ is not an expert and is out there to make a quick buck. So read it with a grain of salt and don't base any major medical decisions solely on it

Kevin Trudeau is a scumbag who likes to rip off people. remember all those crappy infomercials that he did lying about crappy products? I went to the local store and speed read his book and there was nothing interesting in it, like I figured. In his book he directs you to his website in order to sell you more information about his book and his newsletter.

I've seen this guy. Sickest looking piece of crap still walking upright. I was surprised he was not pulling an oxygen bottle behind him.

Hey Big Battery! I am sure there may be a few good pieces of info in the book, but Kevin Trudeau is like said above, a scumbag. He has been in jail for fraud, is a felon, several of his busineses have been shut down because of false claims, etc...
He has had so many informercials, and he is only in it for the money. He feeds on the elderly. His latest venture is attempting to start rumors about how evil the pharmceutical companies are and how they lie to the public, and that they don't want you to know about these common cures, blah, blah. Honestly, some of these companies do charge too much for their products, but many products save or extend lives.
He used to have infomercials for big MLM companies, which he was a member just like anyone else. He promised that anyone that signed up under him would be rich, blah, blah.
He is not smart enough to be a conspiracy theorist, although he tries. Another reason he is not a conspiracy theorist is because he is a liar to the bone. He is also a thug.

all of his info is found on the internet. I have a section saved in my favorites with the natural healing stuff from around the house.
I find it really works. I have been using alot of atuff to heal issues I have had and they all worked. Even healed a urinary tract infection without taking antibiotics.

god it frustrates me when i read reviews of this book and all it is is people bashing the author. who cares who wrote it? haah, do you really think Kevin thought up these "natural cures"? most of them have been practiced for thousands of years. we are just so used to western medicine that these methods sound ridiculous to us. maybe kevin trudeau is a conartist, but dont dismiss whats in the book just because you dont like who wrote it. go to www.curezone.com if you want to learn more about holistic healing.

If someone trys to tell you a drug is good for you ask about the side effects, from what I have read if it has no side effects it is worthless/Up set stomach- diarea- heart attack- depression. sudden death ..........My favorite"
Now those were approved by the FDA. Scarry world we live in! Not very long ago Most Physicians believed in total lobotomies and electric shock therapy.

Sorry it frustrates you, homestar. But, there are other ways to look at it. Trudeau's premise is that the government and/or the pharmaceutical companies are conspiring, in order to make people take their drugs.
I am sure that many of the things stated in the book on homeopothy (sp) work. So, my point is to find another source of the same or better information, that you say has been practiced for thousands of years. You make it seem like he is the only author of such treatments.
My point continued, is that I personally do not like to be lied to. If there is just one lie in the book, then the guy is a liar. The premise mentioned above, is a total conspiracy theorist wacko quack of a way to sell books.
Why not just sell his books by leaving the conspiracy BS out???
He has claimed cures for cancer and also AIDS, for goodness sake. If you click on a couple of the last links I provided, Trudeau was asked in an interview to provide sources for his claims of curing AIDS by giving hydrogen peroxide intraveneously. He said that he would. The sources never came. Hmmm. In the same interview he was asked to provide sources for the other substantial claims he had made, such as a cure for cancer. He said he would send. He never sent. Hmmm.
It is FINE to look at unconventional treatments for diseases. But, it is also wise to at the bare minimum, do some simple diligence on the person or people who you may entrust with YOUR LIFE.
Furthermore, Battery is my friend, and I owe him my honest opinion.

Thanks Mark and to the others as well. Makes no difference to me either who wrote it, I just wish people would use their heads before making rash decisions on other methods of healing. Sure, some have been around for a long time and they do work, but if they dont....good grief get to a doctor before it becomes serious. Especially if its your kids. Saw plenty of action for both sides of the issue and thats what I wanted to see. It is to bad that he couldn't have come up with those papers that he said he has had all this time. My guess is its the same ole line I bet he used as a child in school with his homework. "The dog ate it" Even if he would have come up with just one thing to back up his claim at least.

Just like Ephederine kills people....when its abused and not used according to the label (Duh!!!) Alcohol will kill you to if you drink to much of it. Funny how there are no instructions on the label of a Jim Beam bottle on how to drink it, but if someone dies from drinking the whole bottle, does the company ever get sued? I better stop...I feel a roll coming on! lol

Let me clarify: I am sure that many of the things stated in the book on homeopathy work. However, I am against claims like cancer or AIDS or diabetes cures. Also, I am against giving people false hope with many of the claims written. Mainly, I am very skeptical (obviously) of the source (Trudeau), his intent and his premise.

when he talks about cures for cancer and aids, he is not suggesting taking a magic pill and having the disease disappear. It is about doing a complete overhaul on your body full of bowel/liver/kidney cleanses etc. This will, supposedly, allow the body to work again at maximum efficiency to cure itself. Ive never seen it work before in front of my eyes, but i have read many success stories online. And I understand why people don't trust Kevin, but he probably just threw in teh conspiracy junk to sell more copies and be controversial.

The guy is a con artist plain and simple. He spent two years in prison for credit card fraud, was sued by the state of Illinois for operating an illegal pyramid scheme, and was apparently banned from operating one of his businesses in the state of Michigan....And that is just the tip of the iceberg.
