NO Shotgun and bloating
I'm looking for ways to avoid bloating when on creatine products. I know that it's almost inevitable but what would be the best way to avoid that effect. I'm currently taking NO Shotgun and I've noticed more water retention around my abs after just a week or so. Would the best way to offset that be to up my water intake and cardio? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want the water IN my muscles, not covering them.

In all honesty, creatine bloating is basically caused by injesting more creatine then your body can absorb. The 5 gram dosing should actually be based on your LBM. How much do you weigh?

My eating hasn't really changed...I haven't eaten quite as clean as I was before, but I've tried to take in a good amount of water to even everything out. I weighed around 190 right before I went on the NO Shotgun. The biggest thing I've noticed is that keeping my water intake high enough has made the biggest difference. It does change from day to day though. Do you think it could just be salt intake as well? I had a bunch of food at applebee's yesterday and I noticed today that I looked more soft and watery, even though I lifted ridiculously hard yesterday and took in a lot of water.

hey man. i hate the bloat from creatine as well, but i love creatine products. so what i do is run 7 days a week bulking or cutting usally 12 cardio sessions a week cuz i'm in love with running, eat basically all sodium free foods, tan in the sun or go the the tanning bed, drink 2-2.5 gallons of water a day, sometime chill in a very hot badtub w/ the heater runnining to sweat and relax some, and space my creatine intake between 2-3 times a day instead of 1 big dose, and then i stay looking ripped and full. my favorite creatine for not bloating has to be plain CEE or SIZEON. still some bloating is going 2 be there no matter what. good luck and if anyone else has any other tips they use i'd like 2 know as well.

Thanks bro...I've been meaning to get back into the tanning bed, and back into cardio, and I've slowly started up with that stuff but I'm definitely gonna try all that stuff. Sorta stuff I knew that I should do but I needed to hear it again. Thanks again.

I have never gotten bloated from creatine nor have I ever seen anyone bloated from creatine.
Anyway bloating or holding water is a temporary effect, I wouldn't spend much time thinking about it.

I agree. I have been using creatine on and off for 8+ years and have never experienced bloating. Like naturalguy said it temporary so don't sweat it.

Is everyone missing something here? No Shotgun doesn't contain creatine mono. It has CEE. I DO know people that have bloated up on mono, but never from CEE.
I'll bet ya a buck your bloating has nothing to do with Shotgun.

You're probably right. I'm gonna have to look through what I've been eating and work to clean that up even more. In regards to the question on the workouts, they've been through the roof. My energy and focus have been awesome, and I feel way more aggressive going in. Last night I did back and finished up with close-grip pulldowns and ended up going the heaviest I've ever gone on those. I had the energy to just destroy my back, and I've already gotten comments after just a couple of weeks on how much bigger I look.
