    best nuts to eat?

I know someone else is laughing at the title....

But anyway, what are the best type of nuts to eat? (still laughing) I was reading another post that said you should replace one meal's carbs with nuts. Im a peanut/cashew fan...but havent had them in a long time...pre-cutting. So what's the best?

I eat Almonds at work but once in a while I'll eat a bag of honey roasted cashews, the problem with them is that they are high in sugar. In saying that, honey does have some nutritional value you too.

Raw honey has nutritional value, but honey roasted cashews don't contain any of those nutrients. Honey roasted cashews are made with a little bit of honey and a lot of added sugar, and any benefits that honey would have given you are cooked out as the nuts get roasted.

Brazil nuts have a pretty poor fat profile as far as nuts go, but they're still not bad.

Hazelnuts are great, and get no mention at all. Better fat ratio than almonds, and more delicious too.

Lovely pecans...but I think almonds and walnuts are quite a lot better...I also like pine nuts and cashews plenty.

I personally enjoy roasted peanuts and almonds. I don't do the cashews and all that other garbage, so I stick to what works for me. Can't go wrong with a cup of peanuts my man.

I made a plain almond, low salt peanuts, and cashew trail mixture the other day. I have enough to last me a few months at a 1/4 cup a serving! : )
