    Question Ripped my chest muscle...need help on recovery

    Hi people,
    a couple of nights at the gym, I ripped my left chest muscle bench pressing 200 pounds...the doctor said that a few strands of them were torn and bleeding and there was a blood clot and asked me to rest for 10 days...but is it that after 10 days or maybe 3 weeks I can go back to bench pressing...normally how long does it take for that ripped muscle to regain its previous composure...it is that muscle that connects the chest to the arm,does this mean that after 3 weeks, i should start slow on even pull ups and other body part workouts like shoulders and the likes... does a high protein diet(whey protein) speed up recovery/help in such a case...any advice on recovery in such a case is highly appreciated

    if you want a speedy recovery keep doing bench presses but w/ a weight that doesn't hurt. This may be 100 lbs or the bar, but do it and i promise you will recover 1000 timesquicker.
