YES YES YES PLAY RUGBY FOR SURE....you will absolutely love it. I think it is sooo much better than football. A lot less stopage in play. At your heigh and weight I could see you being a back if you are a fast runner. If not then you could try to go for hooker. I've played for about 4 years now and I can't get enough of it

I played football and wrestled all through my high school years and loved it, but now being in college I miss them so I decided to give rugby a try. This is my third year in college and I just started playing about 2 weeks ago. Rugby is so much more fun than football if you ask me. The hits are great and it is just so much more fast paced. I'd say go for it.

Personally (apart from lifting) I think Rugby is the best sport in the world! DO NOT COMPARE RUGBY TO NFL!!
I'm from New Zealand (if you haven't noticed) home of the All Blacks! and in NZ we would usually start playin' rugga at the age of 3-5 lol.
Yes, play it, breath it, taste it, LOVE IT!Strength is more useful than weakness.

The front row players are the huge guys (these guys are the ones involved with scrummagging and do most of the tackling.) and the back rowers are the speedy gonzalez people with all the fancy footwork...so you can judge your position from this. hehe.

rugby is hands down the greatest sport ever created. As for position it will depend on the size of the rest of your team but you would probably end up being flanker or 8 man unless all of the forwards are already significantly bigger than you. It is really the only sport that can incorporate people of every size into a team. Also now I think football is stupid whenever I watch it, play stops every 6 seconds and people run out of bounds on purpose? Thats nonsense.
