    Alternative to Deodorant?!!

DANG.. my arm pits gets moisty fast and it stinks. Unfortunately, they can't handle deodorant b/c of its allergic reactions toward it. I get a rash and stuff. I have even tried the hypoallergenic brand and it still causes a rash. Anyone have the same problem and does anyone have a solution to this? Cause dang, it does stink as bad as my high protein diet farts.

doesnt axe or tag have almost the same ingredients as deodorant? i think they have the same warning labels too that states, "if u develop a rash, discontinue use immediately." correct me if im wrong....

oh and i do shave my arm pits but boy, it still stenches.. i guess my sweat glands love having an orgy in my arm pit area.

I believe that there is a certain kind of artificial crystal that can be rubbed on the pores of the armpits to close them for 6 hour periods... they can genrally be found at large chain drugstores.

i prefer not to close the pores as blocking the excretion of wasteful materials in the body is bad. i just want something that'll make my sweat smell better BUT does not cause any allergenic reaction as most deodorants that i've tried.

    Lightbulb

Try baking soda, see if that helps eliminate the odor and possibly absorb the sweat. That should be non-allergenic. Look for deodorants without aluminum zirconium in it; that breaks me out sometimes. Arm & Hammer has a deodorant without it, but even it's getting harder for me to find! Good luck!

Yes there are other types of medication available. Ask your doctor about Drysol or certain Dri. Both have an active ingrediant of aluminum chloride hexahydrate, rather than the normal aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex. If those do not work and it is a serious problem your doctor can discuss other options with you such as the removal of sweat glands from the armpits.

My mom has the same thing, she used to use milk of magnesium, and she says it does work but it can cause acne, now she says the only deodorant that doesn't cause rashes is Dove, she uses the womens brand of course, I think you should start experimenting.

try some natural deoderants, that dont contain aluminum
everything you find @ a grocery store has a bunch of unnecesary i.ngredients that cause problems..

    like this:

this one right here sort of "inhibits", but i think it means by that, that after, u excrete ur sweat, it kills all the bacteria in it, and basically ur sweat is just water...

    Listen to this guy ^

Baking soda is an excellent alternative.
