Let me first start this post off by saying that I haven't worked out the last two days because of a throat infection/coughing/fever etc and yesterday I didn't even go to work because I felt so bad, so I called in (the first time I've ever done that at this job!) well anyway, with that out of the way a few days ago, on saturday night I was at work and the day before I worked legs and did a little bit of shoulder work too for a mix, something new. I came into work, headed to the back to punch in and my friend/co worker travis said something to me. "Hey tony, man you look buff! Your shoulders look bigger now, are you eating more protein?" all I could think of was, I haven't been lifting the past day and feel smaller, plus in my eyes my shoulders still look pretty small and puny compared to other bodyparts, but I took the compliment. Also, I didn't think I looked "skinny" or "fat" before so maybe he was just seeing things? Thing is, my shoulder press is pretty weak, and I would think a guy with bigger shoulders would be able to shoulder press ALOT more weight than me, so maybe he was just being nice? I just thought it was funny, coming from this guy. He's not a weightlifter I don't think, and I guess he thinks anyone who weighs above 140 is "buff" but its cool to get compliments like this, makes you feel like working out is paying off even if others bring you down. You guys agree?
