I'm 6'1" and have 6.5" wrists and they look TINY. My forearms hanging by my side give the illusion that I have small upper arms when I don't. I have always hated wearing t-shirts because of my 11" forearms. I have even tried direct forearm work and do alot of deadlifts, they just refuse to get bigger while everywhere else grows. People guess me at about 180lbs when wearing a t-shirt when I weigh in at 195+. When I wear a muscle shirt people guess me at 190-200 because they can see more than stick forearms.
Muscle size isn't totally reliant on bone structure though, full muscle bellies like Flex Wheeler had can make a "skinny-boned" person look huge.

Well, I have pretty skinny wrists and what results are skinny forarms.
Now, if I didnt workout, my forearms would be even SMALLER. Right now they are kind of "normal". When pumped, they look hella nice, but normal m forearms are just "meh". Which really sucks.
What im saying is, workout, and they will grow.click clack! salute!

just something you might find interesting.. there's this guy that i talk to occasionally on the net, he is about 6'2, around 200 something pounds slightly fat. Not really a little guy..but he told me about him meeting some pro's. He has a picture of him standing next to jay cutler and this guy I know, he looks like a skinny shrimp. he says that the size of these guys you see in pictures don't tell you anything about how truly big they are until you actually meet them. He said there wrists are literally twice the size of his and when he shook his hand, jay's hand swallowed his like shaking a kids hand. I bet its freaky to meet a pro.. but his guest was his wrists and bones were so big from years of GH use and training=bigger bones.. I don't know, but interesting none the less

Poopeater is absolutely right
You guys really don't know what your talking about unless you have a really slight bone structure with extremely small wrists...I cannot change the width of my bones and I cannot add noticeable mass to my forearms...I workout hard to look like I have skinny forearms with is a step above the "nine year old girl" forearms I have if I don't lift regularly (I do exercises with a wrist roller, wrist lifts with lop sided dumbbells etc.) and I don't spot exercise...they are only a small part of my full body workout ...some people cannot gain weight in certain spots...if I gain weight it goes to my stomach, man-boobs, and face...my wrists and forearms are noticeably smaller than 99% of the males that I come into contact with...every summer when I pull out the short sleeve shirts, everybody says "hey did you lose weight...you got to eat something" because they don't realize that they just haven't seen my arms since the previous summer and because I have a full face which makes me look bigger when I have long sleeves...and I hate the "oh my God, look at how skinny your wrists are!" when people put their fingers around my wrists...I want to knock em out but my fist might come off at the wrist lol

I trump you ALL. 6" wrists flat. And I have no muscle, so I look like a girl. Hopefully that will change soon.
Hi! I'm new.

I have the same measurements (except my waist is a little larger, 30-31 inches), but I'm even taller than you. Its bad for my calves because i have really high insertions. My calves don't even come half way down my shin.
It seems like small joints are more of an ecto characteristic and for most of the pros who have them, it is obvious that they have a bit of the best of both worlds; a favorable hybridity if you will. I don;t know that having small joints is a blessing in and of itself since it is most likely accompanied by a lessened potential for gaining muscle mass that comes along with the ecto bodytype. Perhaps having meso traits is what makes that gift valuable.Last edited by Pump Freak 86; 06-22-2008 at 08:19 PM.

My wrists are around 7.5 and I'm around 6'3/6'4. My Forearms do like quite small but they're starting to look more powerful(see farmers walk pic). As other people have said forearm size seems to be very hard for me to gain as well as my cavs(due to small bone size). My forearms are around 13'5/14 inches but my arms are 18ish. It's kind of odd that I have broad shoulders and a fairly good sized rip cage but my wrists/ankles are so small. Anyways, hope this helps

I think this whole wrist discussion is a kind of pointless since the best bodybuilder ever has very big wrists, so that shows us that wrist size doesn't matter that much regarding a muscular look...
