I have some symptoms...
I havent been feeling great the past few days so I looked up the symptoms on overtraining on a previous thread. I'll apologize ahead of time for bringing up the subject yet again. But I'm really not sure what to do...
I lift 4 x week, upper/lower split.
I lift as hard as I can...and since I am trying to bulk I do cardio maybe once a week. Eat between 2000-2500 calories a day, im 5'5"...123 Ibs? I eat very clean, about a 40/40/20 or 50/30/20 split
Im a college student, in classes throughout the day and waitress a few nights a week, which can be hard after a tough workout.
I am fatigued often, even after 7 or 8 hours of sleep, my legs are always sore...they feel so sore and uncomfortable at night that i cant fall asleep or wake up throughout the night...and I just can't fall asleep anyways. I think I might be getting sick also...But I am hungry all the time, and once I get to the gym and start lifting I feel great and strong.
So..do I just keep at it. Am I hurting my progress? Should I eat even more...just dont know how to help myself

Yes.
When was the last time you took a break? For at least a week?

first of all, what supplements are you takin.are you liftin heavy wieghts, and how many reps and sets are you doing. what are you eating, i know you said clean but give me an idea of what you eat. you're not hurting you're progress but you're not going to gain much if you keep going the way you are, listen to you're body.you're doing something right cuz you look great.let me know, i'll be glad to help.

well...i take protein and creatine..not the past couple days because I am out. Multi-vitamin, glutamine, fish oils. I lift 3-4 sets with reps between 8-10. I only rest about 30 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes between sets. Like I said, upper/lower split..im in the gym about 45 min. each time.
My diet includes: Oatmeal, Peanut butter, eggs, tuna, chicken, whey, apples, yogurt, bananas, whole grain bread...occasionally protein bars and cereal (kashi). If I even say I "cheat" it would be eating too much Peanut butter, maybe some dessert or something every couple weeks.
oh..thanks for the compliment

I'd say you're due for another one. You should take a week off every 6-8 weeks or so.

ok, you really need to up you're carbs, like pasta , rice , yes even pizza with little cheese extra meat and vegies.thin crust.you want to gain , so you have to feed you body...eat you're(brown) pasta or rice or any slow burning carbs before workouts for energy, then after workouts protein and some fast burning carbs to refuel you're body.you're tired all the time cuz you dont enough carbs.dont be afraid to eat, you look like you dont have a prob burning fat so EAT, and keep working out hard. you'll get there.and have you're boyfriend if ya have one to rub ya down at night, to release all the lactic acid built up in you're legs and every where else.... plus it will feel good. keep up the good work.i'm doing a show in april of next year and its harder then it looks but its fun.need anything i'm here.....

I would also suggest a week off. Between the mental stress from school, the physical & mental stress from waitressing, and your workouts, my oh my. Relax, take some time off.
For someone with your schedule, you may want to try a 3x week full body workout. It's fairly quick, you get in and get out. You bust your ass when your there and get plenty of time for rest in between.
I'm at the end of week 2, of an 8 week program, and I feel like I'm getting a damn good workout everytime.

Yep sounds like its time to take a week off, after your break if you can afford them BCAA's during workout help with recovery. Just make sure and buy flavored, bulk BCAA is one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted .
