Loose Skin

Has anyone got any tips on making the skin around tighter?
I am 5 weeks out from my first comp and have lost BF quickly resulting in loose skin around my lower ab area. It not really bad, but was wondering if it will tighten up on its own or not.
Thanks :-)

give it some time. it should tighten up a bit when you drop your water the final days.

Actually I was worried about it getting worse during the water depletion.
But if you think it will be ok, then I will try to remain positive :-)

Thank you for your reply.

no actually if you do the carb/water/sodium deplete method then recarb up, this usually takes care of it. i get loose skin around my abdomen but the final week usually takes care of it; at least as far as not having an loose skin while im on stage. i still have some loose skin around my abs everytime i diet down which partly could be from having been overweight for many years. but it is defnitely not noticeable during my show.

If you have had a huge change in your level of body fat then it can take up to a year for your skin to tighten up completely. However there are some things you can do in the meantime since you are so close to your competition.

Long term:

If you have a good health food store in your area then go in and ask for a Copper suppliment (otherwise check an online suppliment store), but you need to make sure that you take vitamin E as it buffers the Copper and gets it into the the subdermal part of the skin.

The proper dosage for anyone would be 2 mg of Copper along with 400 iu of vitamin E as long as you take it properly with the vitamin E you can take this long term and it will help your skin tighten up.

Short term:

A couple of layers of Perperation H extra strength gel formula on your lower abdomen about 40 minutes before going on stage will help tighten everything else up. But you will need to reapply it before the finals as it only lasts a couple of hours.

Good luck on your comp!!
