I was just surfing a bunch of pro bodybuilder stats. They are all so short. There's hardly even a guy over 6 feet. Does anyone know why this is???

i consider 5'10 + in a decent height category.
well i am short....not even a complete 5'9 but i am very happy with myself...ideal height for bb (to make myself happy)

Well here is an answer for a really short person (5'7"). I started lifting when I was in 7th grade. I really didn't know what I was doing but I knew that if I ever wanted to be good at football I had to get bigger. I also knew that with the genetics in my family I was never going to be tall. I just figured I'd lift and be stronger since I couldn't be taller. I think that is why a lot of BB's are short. They use it to make up for lack of height.

The reason pro bbers are short? Premature steroid abuse. Most pro bbers started juicing when they were in their teens, and shut down their epiphiseals.

Actually according to the CDC the height of the average man is only between 5'8 and 5'9 so from the stats I have seen they tend to be around average.
