I workout first thing in the morning, usually between 5:30 and 7:30 depending on my schedule for the day. My problem isn't that I don't have energy while I'm in the gym but rather afterwards. I usually feel fine up until around lunch time and then my body shuts down in the afternoon and I become pretty lethargic. In the past I've depended on caffeine to get me through it but this tends to be a problem when I try to get to sleep at night. I was looking at some alternative energy products in the online store here and was wondering if anybody had any experience with Emerald Balance Packets. The product description claims to boost energy PWO by using antioxidants. Does this sound like a legit supplement and if not what are some other options? I don't want a supplement that gets me wired because I hate that jittery feeling and I already take adderal (ADHD medication). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Need all day energy???
I must say, I feel your pain. I have been working out intensly for the past few months and I was experiencing the "afternoon nap syndrome".
A couple of things can assist you, the first being that you need to look at how hard you are working out? If you're workouts leave you drained for the day, you are working out too hard. Consider toning it down a bit.
Secondly, consider a good supplement, that provides vitamins and good nutrients, instead of caffeine. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRS. It made a huge difference for me. (http://frs.themillionaireu.com)
Chances are you can slowly beef up your workouts again as you get your body back in sync with your workouts.
Hope this is helpful, let me know how it goes!
