im the opposite. the only thing that gets me going is an espresso and even that doesnt do too much. do you have complex carbs in your diet? carbs= energy so eat carbs earlier in the day for your body to use later. altough too many carbs too close to a workout can be bad and can cause an elevation in cortisol(sp?), a stress hormone which has negative effects on muscle building.

My advice: try a Red Bull. Actually, try drinking half of one first. Wait 30 minutes, then drink the next half if you feel like it.

try dieter's water by Stacker 2, I'm not sure if bodybuilding.com sells it or not. If not, I'm sure some local supp shop should have it. Caffine wise it doesn't pack a big punch, but it does have caffine in it (i believe 50-60mg, correct me if i'm wrong). But it has yohimbe in it, which is another stimulant on the market these days. I know here in Canada drinks with yohimbe are to be taken off the shelves cause the Canadian government is getting anal about weight loss supps. However if you can find yohimbe either in a drink or as a stand alone suppliment then give that a try for a boost.
I'm at work right now, I work at a sports suppliment place in Canada. Although we aren't suppost to, we do sell yohimbe bark extract in liquid form that you can use a dropper and add it to anything.

that's what i have on the shelf here as i write this up. So I would say check out yohimbe, it's still a stimulant so you will get a kick from it, but you shouldn't go crazy on it like you do with caffine.
Also, watch out you don't take excessive amounts, if u do you tend to start feeling cold and get some shivers/goosebumps. Trust me, I know, lol.
and on a less legal side of things, you could always try ephedrine"Bodybuilding is not a pastime, it's a way of life"

when i mentioned ephedrine I was thinking of itself on it's own or in combination with yohimbe. if someone's sensitive to caffine then why bother fooling around with caffine when there are other substances out there?
EDIT: on one other small note, Asprin is much more for use in conjunction with caffine, if you aren't gonna use caffine asprin might not be your best buy, although it will helpLast edited by ddude241; 08-26-2006 at 09:53 AM.
