Protein Shake for Breakfast - travelling

    Guys

I have to get on a long flight tomorrow morning. So I am considering making a larger than normal protein shake for breakfast to drink during my 45 min drive to the airport. that will be at 6am...with nothing else (unless I take some nuts or something on the plane) until noon lunch.

I have worked it to be a rest day, so no workout. I have a WPC and a pre-bed protein blend I use. So I think a scoop of each into 1 c skim milk, 1/4c egg whites and 1/2c oats will cover me. 490 cal, 6 fat, 42 carb, 69 protein.

Thoughts? The pre-bed has 75% MPI in it...that and the oats should sustain me until noon eh?

Crappy day...gotta fly home all evening also.

it'll be fine. Really, we're talking about ONE meal of ONE day here. Have your shake at 6, have a meal at 12, i really wouldn't spend any time worrying about it.

Ok, I was more curious on the make up of the shake and what others had done in similar situations. I have to travel a lot now and will need to be flexible in how I get my meals everyday. Pack powder, find milk at local stores etc..etc..

Thanks guys, but I certainly wasnt worried about anything, just curious.

Making a thicker than usual protein shake and sipping it over a period of time is a great idea IMO.
    Flying above the rest.

Adding more fat to your shake wouldn't hurt either.
