Crissy's Roadtrip to Whataburger

My name is Crissy and its obvious the most evil place in the world that calls my name is Whataburger! Sadly I have not been there in over a year.

Okay down to what matters.

Height: 5'8
Weight: Can I lie? Okay honestly 156.5
Goal: I really havn't set a goal weight I want to diet down to a level that my trainer feels is good to compete.

My goal competition: Ronnie Coleman Classic 2007

I train at Metroflex in Arlington, so my dream is for my first contest to be hometown.

I am going to Europa next weekend to cheer on some friends competing.

I travel full time so I have to "improvise" as I go.... please leave comments that might help!!

Today:
55 min cardio met with a trainer and we are mapping out a nutrition plan and workout reg, I'll post it asap.

I know I need to eat more but with my travel schedule this is with me eating 5 times a day.

seems like you are off to a good start chrissy. how do you like the metroflex? i used to go there myself but the travel time+gas got to be too much.

hmmm... might have seen you there. i went there from november of last year to february of this year. isnt it uber hot there during the summer considering its in a warehouse?

You might have seen me there! I trained with Rendy a little bit and either late at night or early in the morning.

You know honestly I never mind the heat.... with a couple fans its not too bad, really makes me feel like I am working. Now don't get me wrong when it hits over 105 my ass is staying home but since I am traveling for work so much this summer I don't get in as much as I'd like.

The only thing I'd like is more cardio equipment but since I have some at home I can't complain too much. The staff and members rock!

I travel quite frequently.... we're talking 2-3 weeks a month. I am having to learn to eat on the go while still trying to fit in 6 meals a day.... every small discovery counts so if you have any please let me know. I am now getting use to raw oatmeal with babyfood.

wow, that's devotion....I read that you only had like 973 cals the other day??? what are you eating while you are travelling, and how much prep time do you generally have?

Depends on where I am, this week I have to be able to microwave it. I am relying heavy on different kinds of protein powder. Worried about flyinf tommorrow back to Dallas with the no liquid rule in effect. That also made me think of the competiors who will be flying in to Dallas this week for Europa, will they be able to have their liquids or will it effect their look?

1. I have never competed and till recently never thought I'd be able to.
2. I'd like to lose weight (15 lbs), I have pretty good muscle mass due to 2 yrs of good weight lifting and playing tennis.
3. My fave protein currently is Nectur Fuzzy Navel & Lean Dessert by BSN.

Mila & I had a double scoop EACH of ice cream today to celebrate the end of another trip away from home. In remorse, I went and did 1:25 of cardio... I kept going becuase I was on the last 2 charpters of the harry potter book I had been reading. That puts me at a little over 2hrs of the cardio today... I will post of the pain of being lactose and eating ice cream tommorrow.

P.S. Mila has instisted I mention we ate it out of the carton.... together, sharing a spoon becuase we wanted the ice cream so bad neither of us would go back to the kitchen to get another one. Several of our friends joined in.... it was a joyful ice cream dance!!

By that you mean lactose intolerant? People have told me something called Lactaid works well for that.

To me it looks like your not getting enough calories in. You can eat plenty of food as long as its healthy food.

Also icecream once a week or so isn't going to kill your gains that much- you don't need to do a guilt cardio session because of it.

Yeah lactose intolerant... the ice cream must have missed me because it behaved tonight. I am trying to increase my calorie intake right now... What do you think a daily goal should be?

Usually its your bodweight x 20- so for you that would be about 3000 calories. Thats if your trying to bulk, which is what I have knowledge about.

If your trying to gain muscle for a fitness comp I would be bulking up and then cutting before the competition.

However if your goal is just to get thin then I won't even try to help you out here- this is something I've never done before and have no experience or knowledge in it.

i agree with olympic, you probably should increase your caloric intake some, however i dunno if i would jump to 3000 right away.... do it too quickly and you are likely to store alot of that as fat. id just taper my way up to it, or to a point where you feel you are gaining an accpetable amount of lean body mass...

Evil Airports

I got to the airport yesterday to fly home from Sacromento to Dallas. I knew I couldn't have any liquids so I brought my protein powder, a sandwich and a banana. I got through security no problem, I head straight to the nearest food vendor to buy a couple bottles of water for the airplane.... wrong. They told me I could only buy one bottle at a time and that THEY had to remove the cap from the bottle and keep it. WTF? So I buy my $4 16oz bottle of water and to my gate where over the load speaker they annonce that we are going to start boarding BUT they will be pulling random people out for additonal search of our item and we have to throw away and item with liquid that we may have purchased in the airport. So I didn't have time to make a protein shake, ate my sandwich and banana while waiting in line and threw my now empty bottle away.... Needless to say something tells me things are not going to be easy for people fly to competions this year.

I did stay clean on my eating yesterday and headed straight for suishi when I landed.

Will update todays info in a few hours just had to get that rant off my chest.
