SAD NEWS for the strongman world...

Willie Wessels, owner of the North American Strongman Society has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphotic Luekemia. He will be undergoing chemo therapy shortly. It is basically a cancer of the blood. For those4 of you who pray, please include him in your prayers.
So I'm not as strong as you...It doesn't mean that I can't kick your ass.

I might add also for you interested only in powerlifting...according to monster muscle mag he is listed as the ALL TIME 6TH GREATEST POWERLIFTER EVER. He totaled over 2400 at 220lbs. Only three people were listed as greater than him because Ed Coan held three of the spots in 1st through 5th (because of different weight classes he competed in).

That is a shame. The strongman sport has been hit extremly hard this year losing the great American Johnny Perry and now Wessels problem. I hope everything goes good, as I am sure he will fight this till his grave and never give up. Like I said when Johnny died.. Life on earth is temporary, but life with god is forever. We all should relize that.

I've witnessed a begginer increase there total 350 lbs. the first month
I myself can show you men bench pressing 821 lbs. men deadlifting nearly 940 lbs. men squatting 1104 lbs.
