I'm in pain from the morning I wake up till at night when I go to sleep. I have a wisdom tooth thats about half way out that really has torn up my gums and has left a chunk over it which is whats hurting me. Is there anything to ease the pain?

i don't know. seems it will probably stay if it's part of your gum. you may have to have it snipped. not really a big deal. they numb you and snip and stitch. procedure is really no different than getting a filling. better than living with the annoyance and it being aggravated everytime you eat something.

28 and gums still killing me
Stumbled across this post while searching for the same issue but my major concern was infection over pain.l, I've experinced this pain at least 10-12 times in the past 10 years.
There is such a thick layer of gums over the top of my wisdom teeth that is still hasent completley ripped through. Currently from the from of the wisdom teeth 1/3 of the way back over the tooth is exposed.the other 2/3rd's is still covered with gums and there about 1/8" thick up over the tops of the teeth which is ok when they chillin but when the teeth start moving again and start tearing there way little by little up thriugh that remaining gum tissue my whole jaw inflames. The gum tissue swells up so you can't even tuch your teeth together withough cewing on your own gums so eating is always fun esp when ur in the middle of a bulk haha f.m.l.
The glands under my jaw also flair up and that side of the throat will also swell up and be painful as **** to swallow.
I mean the pain of it is all IS a bitch but its just fuciing pain I can deal but I'm just concerned about infection since my glads are swollen usually that's something that happens when your bodies fiting infection isn't it?
Working 3rd shift and no pain killers or antiboitics at my place so I guess ima have to try and get some antibiotics.
Figured I'd share my experience seening how Ive been dealing with this issue time and time again and its gotten no more fun with progression of time.

Seeing a dentist on matter is always best esp if u have insurance. My teeth never bothered me when I had insurance so I said **** it I can handle the pain it ain't ****. But now its getting worse as the years go on because I have such a thick layer of gums over my wisdom teeth.
So if you're experiencing having your wisdom teeth rippingthrough your gums and aren't sure if you can handle it just go see a ****ing dentist. That's what there here for...
