Veyron can do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and 100 mph in 5.5 sec. I think you are underestimating the car.

The Bugatti Veyron has wiped the floor with the opposition in British Autocar magazine’s annual 0-100-0mph contest, even managing to beat a Suzuki GSX-R1000 superbike.

I'd put money on the Radical SR8 to beat either of them round a track

2.6 litre V8 producing 383hp in a car that weighs 550kgs means it laps similar to formula 3 times. And although it's obviously a track car, it is road legal (not that you would want to drive it on a public road).

lol, owned on corners? what do you think streetbikes are made for?? crappy bike?? worlds fastest production streetbike, and with 600 horse on a turbo hayabusa on the street the car has no chance, power to weight ratio is too great

those 2000 horsepower race cars with the looong front ends...if a hayabusa went by them at 200 mph and the drag fuel car took off at the same point the bike hit them then they would hit the end of the track at almost the same time, and thats a quarter mile in about 5-6 seconds, that car isnt doing that, get your facts straight before you make a neg comment

Not that the Veyron can match an F1 car, but bikes are overrated. Its very hard to get the full acceleration out of a bike.

Watch this if you are unsure what 4 wheels can do vs 2.

Go 1m 10 seconds in if you are impatient. Jensen stalls on the first run.

A busa isn't making up any time in the corners on a track. Actually, that's where the over weight pig will lose time.

Go 1m 10 seconds in if you are impatient. Jensen stalls on the first run.
First of all that vid proves nothing, that is an r1 type race bike, that bike is not meant for high end speed, its not aerodynamically sound enough to accelerate to those speeds, if they want to do a race like that they need to take the hayabusa and everytime it will win...people say the bike is so ugly bla bla, there is a reason, its meant to do 200 mph, you tuck behind the windshield and the air passes over you, on that bike they show there its got a windshield that is 3 inches big, anyone who rides a 1000 and rides a busa will know the difference, you cant down enough to cut through the wind on those bikes

those 2000 horsepower race cars with the looong front ends...if a hayabusa went by them at 200 mph and the drag fuel car took off at the same point the bike hit them then they would hit the end of the track at almost the same time, and thats a quarter mile in about 5-6 seconds, that car isnt doing that, get your facts straight before you make a neg comment
You have absolutley NO idea what you are talking about. Everything you typed is completely made up. First of all using your own numbers in your retarded 1/4 mile analagy the bike would cover the quarter in 4.5 secs, less then the 5-6 you mention, but more then 4, which is what drag cars actaully run. Second assuming equal centers gravity a car will have twice the grip of a bike due to having twice the contact patch. Third I don't even know why you brought top fuel dragsters into this, an F1 car would have been a much better analogy. However those only have 800 hp and are actaully slower then a veyron in a straight. Not to mention the fact that bikes are far from ideal for top speed runs seeing as to how their coefficents of drag are double that of tuned sports cars, and still greater then almost any economy car built after 1999. So in conclusion, you are an idiot.

Helmet aside, this is what Roethlisberger was straddling when he wiped out -- a Suzuki Hayabusa, advertised by the manufacturer as "the fastest production bike on the planet." The Hayabusa has a 160-horsepower engine, same as the new Ford Fusion sedan. But the motorcycle weighs 478 pounds, while a Fusion tips the scales at 3,101 pounds. This means a Hayabusa throbs with seven times the horsepower-to-weight ratio of a modern car. Another vehicle with a 160-horsepower engine is the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, with a maximum takeoff weight of 2,450 pounds. Roethlisberger's bike had five times the power-to-weight ratio of an airplane, and minimum-weight criteria dominate aircraft design. The Hayabusa boasts a peak speed of almost 200 miles per hour, but since no street rider ever approaches peak speed, in everyday circumstances what the power is used for is acceleration. The bike accelerates from zero to 100 miles per hour in three seconds, which is astonishing. The new Corvette Z06, the fastest Corvette ever, accelerates from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds, plenty dazzling enough. But the Hayabusa gets to 100 miles per hour faster than the best Corvette reaches 60 miles per hour. One-thousand-one, one-thousand-two, one-thousand-three -- your Hayabusa is now moving 100 miles per hour.

thats a stock busa, put a turbo on a busa and have 500 horse....my buddy had a turbo busa, with 400 horse on pump gas to the tire, dynoed. did 100-200 in 5 seconds, that was done with gps

we are not talking about corners we are talking about straightaways and power to weight here, will always be a debate over whos faster bikes or cars, and whenever they do those tests on the tuner shows its always suouped up cars with huge turbos against aprilla 1000's...never a modified busa

Got a dyno sheet of your buddies bike there?

There is no debate. The fastest stock bike is slower then fastest stock car, and the fastest modded bike is a LOT slower then the fastest modded car.

Not to mention hes comparing straight line speed... who gives a **** about straight line speed.

I'll see his busa at the track with my ZX10 (doubt he even goes to the track) and run circles around him.

Hes probably some squid rolling down the street in flip flops and a beater.

You can spin your back tire at 150, on a big turbo/high cc bike. www.superchaos.com (not sure if thats even a site anymore and im not checking)

I just remember about 2 years ago when i was "into" bikes some of the turbo setups were hitting 240+mph on the streets so by now i'm sure they have better turbo setups, and have even better top ends..If they somehow fixed the gearing.

    I have F1 down as 0-300kmph in as little as 8s (that's 186 mph)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One_cars

The Veyron is 16.7 seconds to 180 mph.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron_16.4

The Hayabusa is like 18 or 19s to 180mph.

The F1 driver could get to 180, stop and slurp a protein shake before the bike rider turned up.

And this is in a straight line - around a track, your bike will get spanked by a Porsche Boxster. LOL.
