Not except for dosage and amount of time it takes to digest the caps. Oh, and price.

Powders are far more cost efficient, and the dosages are typically better. With capsules, it generally takes a large number of caps to get an adequate amount of BCAA's.
Powders I'd consider:
MRM BCAA+G
Anabolic Innovations Excell or Scivation Xtend
Xtreme Formulations ICE
Assuming you get the adequate amount of BCAA's in capsules, then there should be no difference between capsules and powders - the trick is to get an adequate amount at a price that makes it worthwhile.I remember being relevant.

i like to use ON Bcaa caps but other than that i would just get xtend if i were you

Hard to get enough BCAA from caps, I would go with powder.

General Rule 1: Buy all supps in powder form whenever possible. There is a cost to capping and that cost is passed on to the consumer.
Exception: Caps become useful if you are carrying them with you to
dose during the day(eg; at work or while traveling).That which does not kill you makes you stronger.

I have plain BCAA powder and I would definitely rather have some ground dirt with a sprinkle of sand. If you can spend the money on a flavored BCAA I would say go for that. Buying gatorade or whatever else to just put in BCAA is not worth just adding the water to me. My next buy will definitely be a flavored BCAA in powder form. Hope that helps!!

Powder is cheaper especially if you buy in bulk. Tastes gritty but if you throw it in with some protein powder for your pre or post workout shake you wont even notice.

Powder because it's cheaper. The cheapest powder on bb.com is Sci-Fit's 1000 gram container. I'm not crazy about the formula and my tub had lots of little brown flecks throughout, no idea what they were. Anyway, it's .05 a gram. BB.com also has NOW bcaa powder, but it's not listed with the rest of the bcaa procucts, only with the NOW products. Anyway, it's $19.99 for 340 grams, making it about the same as the big Sci-Fit jug but probably better quality. MRM's BCAA+G is actually about the same price as well, .06 a gram, not including the glutamine. Ice and XTend get a little more expensive, especially if you use the full serving size, which gives 7 grams of bcaa, compared to 5 for the other products I mentioned.
