Ok, this might be a silly question, but what are these "reps" people keep talking about. I know it has to do with the "rep power" under our names but what does it mean? Is it kind of like a respect thing?

well they are supposed to signify how much good information someone gives out. Someone says somehting smart and beneficial you would rep them. However, the rep system has been abused to an extreme. People with high reps dont necessarily have any good info to help. People neg for no reason. I dont really see why anyone even cares.

What does the number right before the rep power bar mean?
I see that m@k@veli has a "0" and digital1986 has "74," yet they both have the same rep power of 40000.

reps are extremely important. People in the green are cool. People in the red are a waste of space. Dont take any notice of what people in the red say. period.

Not everyone in the red posts B.S. Some people got into the red from a fairly high rep power because they got negged by a moderator for breaking a certain rule. Some moderators have 1 million rep power, and someone can go from like a 400 rep power to well into the red when getting negged by a certain moderator. I'm one of those cases. I was at a double digit rep power on last week of April before getting into the red.
