Question confused

i am 5' 7" 127 looking to make weight and mass gains, i want to get to 140. then cut down to about 134 and see how i look, im finally starting to see my definition in my abs and other muscles. is it possible for me to make the gains and keep my definition, or should i not worry about seeing my abs now, make my gains, and worry about definition later?

Well, I think there are people who could give you answers from both sides of the argument ... but I think in general it would be best to pick one goal, and focus on that. What I mean is, if you want to bulk up to about 140, then keep going -- keep taking in more calories and adding on that lean mass, and keep lifting heavy. If you are adding lean mass, then you shouldn't lose too much definition. But I think most people would prefer to bulk up and THEN worry about the definition as they cut.

In any case, just keep lifting heavy no matter what you decide to do, and eat healthy -- this way, you should still be able to see some definition during your bulk because your mass will be lean muscle mass.

If, instead, you are at a point where you want to start cutting to see what muscle you've put on, then just be sure you keep lifting heavy and keep taking in enough protein to maintain that muscle during the cut.
