Animal PAK lowers test levels and destroys your health?!?!?
just read this from one of the posts. and i quote...
"Hello, i was reading this thread:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=856795
and user "jb6080" made a comment about stating:
With the Animal Pak: if I were you, I would refrain from taking the liver pill (the darkest one of the big pills), and the digestive enzyme pill with the ox bile (the yellowish, smooth small pill without the dots). Eating liver could give you aromatase and lower your test levels, and also give you alot of other oxidative p450 enzymes that pretty much suck for overall health. Other than that, the Animal Pak is a good vitamin.
What does anyone else feel about this, as I have never heard anything like this. I'm not calling him a liar etc, just wanting to get more information.
Thanks."
what do you think about this?

the liver pill in the Animal Pak, is the same pill you will find in the Liver Tabs (BCAAs) that Universal Nutrition makes. I doubt very highly that the BCAAs are going to lower someones testosterone levels.

haha, this is a funny post, but not entirely wrong!
first, I would never touch "liver"-extracts because they contain high levels of toxic metabolites. everyone should be aware that the liver is kinda "refuse disposal service" of our body, there is PLENTY of toxic garbage there to be found that no one should voluntarily ingest.
besides that, it is right that the liver has plenty of enzymes from the so called "Cytochrtome P-450"-family, a mameber of which is also the aromatase. But the aromatase is expressed also in other tissues like white fat cells. all these enzymes are being destroyed during digestion (stomach acid and pancreatic enzymes (proteases)), so there is no need to fear aromatase or other P-450 activity from foods.
EDIT: I assume(d) that the "liver tabs" actually contain liver extract. If they consist of something different (e.g. BCAAs, like the previous poster stated) please forget everything I said about those pills.

I think its absolute bull...Im 16 and take the Animal Pak and I wouldnt go anywhere without it.
As for waking up pumped...when I take it i get a bit jumpy so at school I'll be off the walls so now i take it like it says > half hour after your pre workout meal before exercise and it works for me i get a bit jumpy but it usually ends by the end of my workout
and excessive piss
any negatives havent had any
The dark pill is the same pill you find in the Uni-Liver stuff and i ve takin three bottles a while back and i didnt experience anything bad i personally liked them because of the low price and they work

Animal Pak is just about as bad for your body as Protein, Complex Carbs and Fatty Acids are.
You should watch drinking water too, I heard it can cause urinary problems like having to go pee....
Sorry for the sarcasm, I couldn't help myself LOL!!!
To the OP, I know you just posted a quote from another thread and were asking for opinions, not picking on you dood just giving mine...
Also, this thread is sure to be closed....

I eat about 1.5 hours prior to a workout. Take Animal Pak and Stak 1 hour before workout. And I take Protein supp shake 15-30min prior to workout. I feel my energy levels are up. And the Lactic Acid burn seems muted with increased blood flow to an from the muscles. And yes muscles seem a little pumped and needs to be stretched and massaged to reduce tightness from recovery/healing. I'm all new to Animal stack and pack. So far the product has affected me with nothing physically negative that I can detect. Beside pissing yellow I think its all normal. I'm looking for a Animal Fan thread to share results and reactions. Check out in the Over 35 section "Animal is making my hair grow fast".

Brother, you are doing it correctly. The only thing I would emphasize is that you get plenty of water all day long and keep eating big. Especially before workouts if you are trying to gain muscle. That stack you are taking (Pak and Stak) is a winner. Keep with it religiously, don't miss a dose and by the end of that can of Stak you are going to see a very noticeable jump in your strength. All your lifts should go way up. If you want more info on stacking Universal Animal products check out the PM I sent you.
You will always find that some supplements don't agree with some people. What I see more common though is when they are having issues it is more often than not because of improper use. Education is always one of the biggest elements in any diet/exercise plan.
Sorry to keep posting in here, this thread really should be moved or closed.

test levels drop?
Did you have some bloodwork doneto show they dropped, or do you just feel like they are? I am not currently taking Animal Stak, but have before and would like to know what's causing the test decrease so I don't take it again.

Stak is a Test/hormone booster. This thread is talking about the Pak. Neither will reduce your test levels. The notion is absurd.

Drop in Test levels
if you believe that the supplements you are taking are lowering your test levels understand that working out is a stessor and stressors lower your test level and "With the onset of a stressor, the whole reproductive system is inhibited. Luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) concentrations decline, followed shortly thereafter by declines in Luteinizing Hormones (LH) and Follicle- stimulating hormone (FSH), and then the testes close for lunch. The result is a decline in circulating test levels." so your drop in test is most likely the result of you physically exerting yourself or being mentally stressed about gaining mass and getting bigger.
LHRH- stimulates the pituitary to release LH
LH- stimulates the testes to release test
FSH-stimulates sperm production

No, you are imagining things. Its a multivitamin, the only difference you would notice is over time. However, Animal Pak is a low grade multivitamin so I don't think you will EVER notice any difference.
