    One time in highschool the info on the board was written wrong, someone had written "Bench: 3x65 @ 75-80-85", when it should've read "Bench: 3x6 @ 75%- 80%- 85%". I'm not sure who wrote the 5 in there and erased the "%" signs, but apparantly the after-school lifters came in and did 3 sets of 65 with 75lbs/80lbs/85lbs.

    Actually I tried this last night with 135lbs. I started pressing it and next thing you know I fell asleep. When I woke up the next day I was still pressing the bar so I kind of lost count of what I did through the night. Sorry dude.

    I read this thread yesterday and went out to find out. i ran into a small problem though. I have no 2 1/2 pound weights. So I put a 25 on each end of the olympic bar, and then to get to the even 100, I put a five on the right side of the bar. It turns out that I can lift the left side of the bar 47 times, but the right side only 44. Of course, the bar kept tipping and the wight kept coming off, so I am not sure this was a very scientific experiment. I think I will go buy a couple of 2 1/2 pound olympic weights, then try.

    130X6 isnt my max its just what i lifted last week.

    im increasing 5 pounds every week


    my max is probably over 200 but i prefer taking it slow im only 20 whats the rush.

    according to the 1 rep max calculator 100 pounds for 32 reps is like 210 max so i guess thats my max, but you never can tell maybe its higher, maybe its lower as long as im making progress i really dont care.
    SPRAINED WRIST as of 10-6-06 (waiting for it to heal)

    Current stats
    height = 5'7
    weight = 230 pounds
    waist = 38 inches
    arms = 16.5 inches (PR)
    bench = 170X6 (4 sets) MAX = 200(PR)


    GOAL stats
    height = 5'7
    weight = 240
    waist = 34 inches
    arms = 19 - 20 inches
    bench = 260 X 6 (4 sets) MAX = 315

    its just kind of cool IMO

    i call it endurance bench saturdays

    i do 1 set of as many reps of 100 pounds every saturday now, its really fun.

    my goal is to get to about 50 then i will up the weight to 110.

    only 20? i'm "only" 20. and i've been lifting for 7 years, bodybuilding for 4
    don't blame age lol

    and yeah 130 x6 is ur max on that set idiot, i didn't say its ur max like ur max out 1 rep lol. im saying u fatigue after 6 reps meaning max on that set. omg lol
