vastus medialis / vastus medialis oblique

    Hi

What's the difference between the following two quadriceps muscles?
    - Vastus Medialis
    - Vastus Medialis Oblique

Furthermore, how can they be isolated in training?

    Thanks.

im pretty sure there isnt a vastus medialis oblique.

there is a vastus medialis and a vastus lateralis though.

and if you wanna learn how to hit different part of the quads, such the "tear drop" or "the sweep" (i think that what they call it), watch Milo's video on quad training on the fitshow.

the VMO is just the teardrop part of VM on the medial (inside) of the patella. Again, the VMO is a part of the VM.

you can see the VMO well in this pic it is the part that kind of hangs down and looks like a teardrop on the inside of his kneecaps...
