Helping leg soreness.

Even after working my legs for about a month they still feel like theyve been hit by a bus the next 3/4/5 days after a good leg workout.

I read that you can soak em in cold water and that helps and i did this but it didnt really work. Was i not doing it long enough?

I'd just deal with the soreness but currently im doing a 4 day upper/lower body split and i want them to be good for my next leg day.

Any tips?

Well, I experience this also as my legs haven't adjusted to squats like my pecs have to benching yet. The other day I was sore and went riding with my amateur cyclist friend. I'm no cyclist at all, but he wanted to loosen his legs up by doing some light spinning through the 'hoods to get ready to train with his cat1 and cat2 friends that night. I'm sure my ride was more intense than his since I was using my old BMX bike and don't have his cycling legs, but the following day (today) my legs weren't sore.

I'll try it again to see if it did the trick, but in the meantime give it a shot. Biking is normally good for light leg exercise since its a smooth impact-free motion.

If a bike is set up properly it's a good way to go, with a bad setup it's actually pretty hard on you, iirc.

I find that some low intensity cardio the next day helps out a lot.

something like the precor Crossramp with no resistance.
